This story is what happened today to the "Founder of Arena FunBox - social game box in Nigeria".
He said: A very bad personal experience for me today. PHCN refused to give us light toady so I went to a nearby fast-food to use my system. Meeeeeen! if you see the way I was humiliated by the owner of the place, I felt very bad.
It started this way. First, I went to the fast-food's space where they make popcorn and demanded for one but they said they had no balance for N1000 which I was it. So I decided to go in and use my P.C to buy the popcorn later. When I entered into the eatry plugged in and began to use my laptop.
And after about 5 minutes, I began to hear a scolding voice like 1 meter behind me, it said in a harsh manner 'Will you unplug that thing and get out of here!'. Immediately I looked back and saw a man. Looked like in his late 50's or early 60's.
I was dump founded for some seconds, and in my mind I was wondering what was happening, and questions began to run through my mind like 'What did I do?', 'Is it because I had nothing on my table as a sign of patronage?', 'Am I really the person he is yelling at?'
As I was trying to figure out what was going on, and equally given the old man a wrong impression of disobedience unintentionally, the man just matched up to where I was dragged my USB cord from my system, slammed the screen of my lappy and was trying to even push my laptop off the table. Immediately, I asked 'What is wrong?'. The man started saying things in murmur like 'So you came in here to do this!', 'See the reports the police are getting!', '...'. And again he shouted, 'Will you leave here now! Else I call the police for you'. And I tried to explain to him that I am a member of a startup team and that I was only working on our project. But as I tried to explain it was as though he was entering his rage mood; he nearly flung off my system then at this point I knew I was talking to a robot programmed to demolish so I had to peacefully close my mouth as well as my system and left.
So i use this opportunity to beg the PHCN give up everything and help the growing youth in Nigeria, especially ICT/Tech guys.
