Best Steps To Remove Malware Script From Your Blogger Template

It's not wise for you to use free premium template on your Blog.  Before we get started, lets look at the meaning and effects of malware on a blog.

As soon as Giant search engines such as Google, Bing, and malware watchdog web crawlers detects this malicious script, they will immediately remove the webpage that contains the script from their search results and add it to Blacklist, which will negatively affect the rate of traffic coming to your blog from search websites.

Sometimes, Google may go extra mile to block visitor from visiting your blog by showing a pop-up window telling them that your website has been reported and has been blocked. This malware scripts are mostly common in free premium templates, so whenever you install a new free template on your blog make sure you run a malware scan on it.
Steps To Remove Malware From An Infected Templates

Create a new blog on Blogspot and upload the free template on the new blog – don’t use your existing blog because it may affect its Search Engine Optimization. Open a new tab in your browser and go to https://sitecheck.sucuri.net./ Inside the text field located at the top left corner of the website, type in the address of the blog you just created, and then hit Enter on your keyboard or click on Scan Website button.

After scanning the webpage and the website didn’t give you any malware warning, just go ahead and upload the template to your real blog. But if it’s otherwise, scroll down the malware scanning website. You will see the malware script, copy the first value that look like this var _0x4e15= and paste it in your Notepad. Go back to your Blogger blog(the one you uploaded the template on) tab, click on Template and then Edit Template. You’ll be presented with the source code of your blog, click inside it and hold CTRL+F. Open the notepad that contain the value you copied earlier from the malware scanner website, paste it in the search box at the top edge of the source code field and hit Enter key.

Delete the script starting from the value you copied to the end of it. For Example: Remove from var _0x4e15= to ;}); . Save your Template.

We’re not done yet, the script are usually two or more. To remove the remaining script, go back to the scanner and click on Force A Re-Scan to screen your blog again. If you’re still seeing malware warning page, don’t panic just repeat the aforementioned process until the scanner give you a malware free result.

We’re almost done. Backup the template you just modified on your Pc. To do that click on the button labelled Backup/Restore, click on Download Full Template button on the pop-up window and save it to a folder on your Pc. Now go to the blog you’ll like to use the template on and upload it to the webpage. Moreover, note that some features of the template may not work properly, the reason being that the malware script is coded with the feature and we’ve deleted it. In most of the templates I have removed its malware, slider is the main feature attached to the malware script.
