Cristiano Ronaldo pulled out some skills from his Manchester United days in Portugal’s victory over Egypt on Friday evening. The Real Madrid forward came to Portugal’s rescue in injury time as his two late headers overturned Mohamed Salah’s opening goal for Egypt.

Along with his two goals, Ronaldo also got the crowd on their feet with a sublime piece of skill in the first half. As he received possession on the left flank, teased the defender by dragging and stopping the ball twice in quick succession. The 33-year-old then topped it off with a backheel nutmeg to continue Portugal’s attack.

Ronaldo’s latest show of dazzling footwork was reminiscent of the time he toyed with Arsenal in the final stages of United’s 2-1 win over Arsene Wenger’s side at Old Trafford in April 2008. Poor Justin Hoyte was tasked with retrieving the ball from Ronaldo in front of the Stretford End but the best the Arsenal defender could do was kick the Portuguese forward.
