Couple of days ago, one of the major telecommunication companies in Nigeria announced a new service dubbed mtn mPulse for children between the ages of 9 to 15 years. This service comes with two (2) features which are m-pulse website and m-pulse tariff.
Each of these features offers a wide range of freebies for young Nigerians in the class bracket Primary 1 – SSS 3.
Among the mouth watering offers include extremely cheap data plans, free birthday airtime, tutorials and past question of major examinations that will cross their path as they thrive in their educational career.
Like i said earlier, the educational service entails two features which i will now explain in details.
MTN mPulse Tariff: Benefits, Data & Migration Codes.
This is the part that has been causing controversy online but which this article will clarify once and for all.
When mtn announced that the mPulse tariff comes with 2 data plans which are 350MB 7-days plan for 50 Naira and 1.2GB 30-days plan for 150 Naira, numerous bloggers didn’t read the terms and conditions before they plaster the information all over the internet thereby misleading numerous people.
These data bundles are real but can’t be used to access anything else other than the educational resources on the service website. Which means you can’t access facebook, twitter or even check your mail with any of these two (2) plans.
That been said, below are important details and things to note about the plan.
Benefits.
Browsing Data Bonus: You will be rewarded with 10MB and 20MB for every first 100 Naira and 200 Naira or more Recharge (not share n sell transfer) in a week respectively.
It is valid for 7 days and can’t be roll over.
Birthday Free Airtime: You will receive 200 Naira airtime on your birthday every year until you are above 15 years.
You can use this airtime to make national calls, send national sms and browse at 15 Naira per MB (N15/MB) if you are on Pay As You Go (PAYG). It is valid till 11:59PM of the next day.
Call rate is 15 Kobo/Sec and 4 Naira per SMS.
Whatsapp Bonus: mPulse subscribers will also get free 25MB which can only be used on Whatsapp on every first recharge of 100 Naira in a month.
The bonus is valid for only 7 days.
Parental Control: As a parent, you can also join to oversee what your child does on this website and also share data or airtime automatically weekly or monthly.

150 Naira for 1.2GB: This plan gives 1.2GB for N150 which is valid for 30 days. Text 351 to 344 to subscribe or use the alternative method as above.
