Igbo people group in Germany calls IPOB a mortification of the Igbo race in a remote land as they apologize to Ekweremadu

The Igbo people group has issued an open expression of remorse to congressperson Ike Ekweremadu and censured in the most grounded terms, the activities of the IPOB individuals who slid on him.

This was made known by Uche Anichukwu, Special Assistant to Ekweremadu on Media who cited the gathering's announcement.

The announcement understands: "We, Ndi-Igbo Germany, the umbrella/pinnacle association of all Igbo associations working in the Federal Republic of Germany are stunned and unnerved by the unmerited, outlandish and silly assault released on Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Nuremberg, Germany.

"Ndi-Igbo Germany, wish to offer our unequivocal expression of remorse to our unique visitor of respect, Senator Ike Ekweremadu – previous Deputy Senate President – for the appalling treatment misled at him by individuals from Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra in Germany during the event of our second Annual Igbo Cultural Festival and Convention 2019.

"It must be stressed that Senator Dr. Ike Ekweremadu had nothing close to home to pick up in going to our social day. Or maybe the Igbo inhabitants here in Germany lost a chance to take advantage of his store of learning.

"No words can depict our stun, our alarm, and our bitterness at this unpardonable, dishonorable and silly assault. We apologize from the profundities of our souls that you needed to experience such a frightful thing here in our middle. This isn't the manner by which we are here. Kindly don't hold this episode against the 99 percent decent Umu-Igbo in Germany.

"Our conciliatory sentiments go to Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo and to all good natured Igbo-Diasporan gatherings and affiliations both at home and abroad for this disrespect.

"We truly apologize to the National Assembly and to be sure to our whole nation for such a baseless strike on Senator Ike Ekweremadu by the IPOB individuals in Germany.

"Give this occasion a chance to be a revitalizing call to all Umu Igbo at home and worldwide to consistently look for solidarity instead of crudely betraying ourselves in silly viciousness which will make unbiased and well disposed worldwide countries get some distance from us.

"Ndi-Igbo Germany (N.I.G) denounces in most grounded terms this activity by the individuals from IPOB in Germany against Senator Ike Ikweremadu. Ndi-Igbo Germany separations herself from any gathering that energizes viciousness, straightforwardly or in a roundabout way.

"It isn't worthy that an Igbo man or lady would go to the event of an antiquated Igbo customary occasion like Iri-ji and cause bustle, yet in addition physically assault a welcomed visitor, a kindred Igbo sibling from home and a senior Igbo senior statesman in the individual of Senator Dr. Ike Ekweremadu. This is an evil entity in Igbo land. What's more, in a remote land! Is this what we have come to in our unified battle, Ndi Igbo? A house partitioned against itself can't stand.

"This single activity will cost IPOB in Germany more than 70 percent of her until now sympathizers. What IPOB Germany thought in their maladroit, small, and egotist outlook as an embarrassment of Senator Ekweremadu seems to be, in actuality, a mortification of the Igbo race in an outside land"
