A Police Officer and a motorcyclist have been executed in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State by aggressors suspected to be herders.
Representative of the State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene, said the episode occurred on Wednesday, October 28.
The cop was taken shots dead at the Police post before Idokpo Market while the business cyclist accidentally ran into the aggressors.
"The two passed on before they could be hurried to the emergency clinic." Anene said on Thursday in Makurdi.
The PPRO clarified that the Command is as yet examining the intention behind the assault, adding that the characters of the casualties are as yet unclear.
Then, the Ado Local government Chairman, James Oche has depicted the occurrence as remorseless, barbaric, unfortunate and has pledged to carry the culprits to book.
The Council Boss said he gathered a crisis meeting of the Local Government Security Council and from that point actually informed security offices who are on course following the attackers.
He encouraged individuals to try to avoid panicking, honest and furthermore volunteer data that would prompt the capture and indictment of the executioners while promising that his organization was prepared for the assignment of guaranteeing security of lives and property.
