Court fixes Friday November 27 for ruling of Ndumes bail application

 The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed Friday November 25, for administering on the bail application documented by Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume, who has been confined in jail since Monday November 23, over his suretyship for Abdulrasheed Maina accepted to have bounced bail. 



Equity Okon Abang dismissed for administering after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's legal counselor, Mohammed Abubakar., contradicted the bail application. 


Maina, a previous Chairman of the dead Pension Reformed Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, is being indicted by the EFCC on charges of tax evasion including N2bn. 


On November 18, 2020, Justice Abang disavowed the bail conceded him, requested his capture, and coordinated that his preliminary would continue in absentia. The appointed authority on Monday November 18, requested that Ndume be remanded in jail until he created Maina or paid the amount of N500m bail cling to the Federation Account. 


Ndume, through his legal counselor, Marcel Oru, had on Tuesday documented an allure against the remand request at the Court of Appeal, alongside an application for the bail of the respondent recorded before Justice Abang.
