The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, has cautioned that the second rush of the COVID19 pandemic is unavoidable if Nigerians keep on ignoring all COVID19 conventions.
Ehanire gave the admonition while talking at the virtual Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Guild of Medical Directors in Lagos State with the subject 'Post-COVID-19 Era: Economics and Healthcare Delivery in Nigeria.' on Saturday, October 31.
The clergyman said the subsequent wave being knowledgeable about Europe and America should fill in as a note of caution to Nigerians. He said with the high volume of human traffic from Nigeria to those landmasses, returning of schools, the #EndSARS fight, and numerous different variables, Nigeria is inclined to a second rush of the pandemic.
"I dread that with the laxity showed by our own populace, our own subsequent wave is imminent."he said
The Minister approached Nigerians to guarantee they comply with all non-drug COVID19 conventions, for example, hand-washing, utilization of face covers, and social separating, among others.
