The Lagos state police order has captured a 18-year-old young lady recognized as Ujunwa Offiah, for plotting with her beau Ifesinachi Blessed, 26, an occupant of Coker zone of Lagos State, to counterfeit her grab and request N30 million from her family.
The police likewise captured Ifesinachi's other sweetheart recognized as Precious Chukwu, 22, whose telephone was supposedly used to haggle with offiah's family.
The suspects were captured by agents appended to the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID of the order.
While Ifesinachi who is a driver with one of the taxi flagging down administrations, is supposed to be everywhere, it was assembled that he professed to be a criminal and requested for payment of N30 million from Offiah's family.
The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while strutting the suspects at the order central command on Monday December 7, said;
"This is an instance of scheme and arranged grabbing, and the man at the focal point of this case, who turns out to be a Uber driver, is still on the loose. We are following him since he schemed with one of these two women, Offiah, who faked her hijack.
"He cunningly utilized the telephone of another sweetheart, Precious (Chukwu), to contact Offiah's family, illuminating them that their girl had been captured.
"He mentioned N30m from Offiah's family to get her liberated and during arrangements, which included the police, they made due with N700,000. While the cash was being dropped, we made a move and in the process captured Offiah and Precious."
Addressing newsmen, Offiah said she kidded about the capture yet was astonished that Ifesinachi paid attention to it.
She said;
"I met Ifesinachi in October, and when we got talking, I tongue in cheek advised him to hijack me so he would gather recover from my sister. I never realized that he paid attention to it until he revealed to me he had gone to the town to meet a local specialist and furthermore examined with his folks about the arrangement.
