Vanessa Bryant is tending to her mom's "unfathomably pernicious" claim.
In an emphatic explanation on Thursday, Bryant said her mother, Sofia Laine, is attempting to "coerce a monetary bonus from our family" almost a year after the demise of Kobe and Gianna Bryant. Bryant lost her better half and 13-year-old little girl in the January helicopter crash that likewise killed seven others.
Laine, 68, is suing Bryant, 38, for monetary help, asserting she worked unpaid as a "long-term individual associate and babysitter" for the family, as per archives acquired by People. Laine claims in the claim that before Kobe's demise, he "vowed to deal with" her "for the remainder of her life."
