Ghana has reported designs to extradite Nigerians who are in the nation unlawfully.
Out of 507 unlawful settlers captured in Ghana, 494 are Nigerians, David Fianko-Okyere, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and representative for the Regional Police Command, said in a meeting with the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga.
The police representative said the locale had carried out another system which incorporated a 24-hour vigorous watch on parkways and plunges, particularly in the Bolgatanga Township. He said the activity prompted the capture of 507 outsiders in the Bolgatanga Municipality and its environs who were residents of Burkina Faso and Nigeria.
He said the occupants of Bolgatanga credited the increasing wrongdoing in the area to supposed criminal operations of the outsiders.
He said fundamental examinations by the Ghana Police Service showed that those captured remained in the country without appropriate archives yet said the Ghana Immigration Service was currently handling every one of the outsiders prior to ousting them.
