A right-wing writer who crowdfunded $100,000 to repair the Puerto Rico home of AOCs grandmother says she declined to accept the money

 Traditional essayist Matt Walsh of the Daily Wire raised more than $100,000 for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's grandma in Puerto Rico. 



Ocasio-Cortez posted photographs of her grandma's home after Hurricane Maria. She got down on deferred alleviation.

Ocasio-Cortez recently tweeted out that her grandmother is sick and hasn't yet gotten tropical storm alleviation in the wake of Hurricane Maria, which hit the US domain over three years prior. In her tweet pummeling previous President Donald Trump over deferred alleviation in Puerto Rico, the New York administrator shared photographs showing exposed living quarters with roof tiles stripping off and pails set up around a space to discover dribbling water. 


"This is her home. Typhoon María help hasn't showed up. Trump obstructed alleviation $ for PR," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Walsh focused on Ocasio-Cortez, a vote based communist, by blaming her for "righteousness flagging" and living huge while her family needs assistance. 


"Disgraceful that you live in extravagance while permitting your own grandma to endure in these filthy conditions," Walsh tweeted because of Ocasio-Cortez. 


Not long after going live, Walsh's mission arrived at its objective of $48,990. Ocasio-Cortez's grandma has declined to acknowledge the cash, as indicated by Walsh, who talked with Insider. The mission raised more than $104,000 before GoFundMe shut it down, he said, and the cash will be returned in full to every giver. 


In a tweet in answer to Ocasio-Cortez, Walsh asked the New York rep to DM him subtleties so he could send her grandmother the raised assets.

Walsh disclosed to Insider AOC "disregarded us" when he connected over Twitter requesting the data to move assets over. 


Walsh on Twitter composed that GoFundMe in an email said the family has "clarified they won't be tolerating the assets raised." 


After Walsh began the GoFundMe, #HelpAbuela started moving on Twitter. 


Ocasio-Cortez posted photographs of her grandma's home to delineate the critical conditions in Puerto Rico post-Hurricane Maria. She blamed Trump for postponing and denying help to the island after the cataclysmic tropical storm. 


"What's befalling Puerto Ricans is foundational," she said in her tweet.

However, in a tweet to Walsh, Ocasio-Cortez focused on that her grandmother is doing approve and she is attempting to bring issues to light that Puerto Rico needs help. 


"My abuela is alright," she said. "Yet, rather than just focusing on mine and allowing others to endure, I'm pointing out the foundational shameful acts you appear to be absolutely fine w/in having a US state."
