The Katsina State Police Command has captured a 21-year-old infamous fraudster, who has some expertise in taking ATM cards from clueless individuals from the general population at different ATM focuses in the state.
Representative of the order, SP Gambo Isah, who uncovered this in an assertion on Monday, May 31, said the suspect, Aliyu Abdullahi, admitted to have removed N1.6 million from various records of six of his casualties.
"On 24/05/2021 at about 11:00hrs, in view of top off, the Command prevailing with regards to capturing one Aliyu Abdullahi, 'M', matured 21yrs of Kasuwar Mata Quarters, Funtua, an infamous fraudster who has practical experience in cheating clueless individuals from the public who went ATM focuses to pull out cash," Gambo expressed.
"Over the span of examination, suspect admitted that his business as usual is to hanged out among UBA and First Bank ATM focuses along IBB way, Katsina. What's more, what he does was to petiently sit tight for an administrator whose ATM was dismissed as a result of inability with activity of the machine.
"He at that point came in and claimed to deliver help and in the process he traded the casualty's ATM card with a phony one. He previously had the casualty's ATM card and PIN number, he will at that point immediately raced to another ATM point and pull out all the cash in the record. Suspect admitted to have pulled out over the amount of 1,000,000, 600 and 6,000, 400 naira (6,606,400, 000) from various records of six (6) of his casualties. Examination is progressing."
