Somewhere around 17 wedding visitors were killed in the wake of being struck by lightning en route to the pre-marriage ceremony in Bangladesh.
Fourteen others including the lucky man were harmed after the gathering was trapped in a tempest en route to the lady's home in the riverside town of Shibganj, Bangladesh.
The gathering had recently got off a boat on the bank of the stream Padma close to Shibganj on Wednesday fourth around early afternoon, to take cover at the lady of the hour's home when lightning struck, the BBC detailed.
The lady was not with the gathering when the lightning struck on Wednesday, as indicated by Sakib Al-Rabby, a neighborhood government official.
The lightning struck Chapainawabganj, the Western region of Bangladesh, around 150 miles north-west of Dhaka.
Lightning kills in excess of 200 individuals in Bangladesh, the larger part being ranchers in their fields, every year.
