Jonathan Cortez was purchasing a bundle of hamburger jerky, a container of Gatorade and a Snickers bar at his nearby corner store in Oakland, California, when a FBI specialist raged in, firearm drawn.
Seconds after the fact, the official started shooting, lethally shooting the 31-year-old.
The shooting on 13 September, an uncommon killing by a FBI specialist, has left Cortez's broken family with numerous unanswered inquiries.
Government specialists said Cortez was killed as officials were serving warrants for his capture, and nearby authorities have guaranteed Cortez was equipped. However, Cortez's family members say, it stays muddled how an excursion to the store for snacks turned lethal in a moment. For what reason were government specialists engaged with serving nearby warrants? For what reason did the official spat with his weapon drawn? Also, what precisely occurred in those couple of moments?

Cortez's companions and family members have requested that the specialist included be named, terminated and captured, and that police discharge the security film they seized from the store during the examination. They've censured the reaction of neighborhood and government police, which the family says has included provocation, during the examination.
In the mean time, local area activists have cautioned the shooting features the risks of government officials working in Oakland's people group of shading.
"How could this occur?" said Jackie Nguyen, Cortez's 33-year-former sweetheart, who has known him since youth and lives over the store. "He burned through seven dollars and he lost his life."
'Continually moving and giggling'
Cortez's family members said they need him to be associated with how he lived, not how he passed on.
Michael Jonathan Cortez, who passed by Jonathan, experienced childhood in the Fillmore region, the memorable San Francisco area known as the "Harlem of the west". He was brought into the world in 1990 and was one of nine kin, brought up in an affectionate family. His mom worked in retail, and his dad as a cook.
"We were well known children, we knew everyone, and everyone knew our family," Iris, one of his more established sisters, told the Guardian. Jonathan was "a wild youngster", Iris reviews. "He was consistently dynamic, consistently amusing, continually moving, continually needing to head outside and ride bicycles or play baseball, kickball or any game."
