NNPC attempts to force down increased price of cooking gas by increasing supply

Bunch Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari has reported that there will be an expanded stock of Liquefied Petroleum Gas famously called cooking gas, in a bid to compel down its cost which has expanded continously as of late.

Kyari said this on Monday December 13 during the initiation of a 120-metric tons LPG stockpiling and packaging plant by Emadeb Energy Services Limited in Abuja.

Taking note of that the climb in cooking gas cost was a global issue, the NNPC GMD uncovered that expense of LPG has been ascending since this year and has bounced by more than 240% among January and October 2021.

He said;

"Two things are in play.

"One is the inventory in the worldwide market of gas. It moves with the cost of each and every other oil based good including unrefined petroleum and its subsidiaries.

"So certainly, it is an impression of what's going on in the worldwide market. Be that as it may, what we are doing is to build supply and when supply expands, cost will descend."
