Endorsement: We Do not Want Anyone Pulling Presidents Ears PDP, APC Tackle Obasanjo

The People groups Leftist faction (PDP) and the All Moderates Congress (APC) have countered the perspectives on previous President Olusegun Obasanjo,

following his support of the Work Party (LP) official up-and-comer, Peter Obi, in the impending political decision.

This comes hours after Obasanjo, on New Year's Day, in a six-page open letter addressed to the Nigerian youth specifically, portrayed Obi as his mentee, saying the previous Anambra State lead representative has an edge in the February 25 political decision.

"Another significant highlight make about Peter is that he is a needle with string connected to it from North and South and he may not get lost," the previous president composed.

"At the end of the day, he has individuals who can pull his ears, if and when vital. He has a youthful and capable running mate with a spotless history of accomplishment both out in the open and confidential life."

Nonetheless, an individual from the Essential Correspondences Directorate of the PDP Official Mission Committee (PCC), Anthony Ehilebo; and a representative for the Tinubu/Shettima PCC, Kehinde Bamgbetan condemned the underwriting on Monday when they showed up on Stations TV's Dawn Everyday.

"I have an exceptionally impressive resistance to anyone who might appear to need to control the leader of Nigeria either by a string or a needle or by pulling his ears," Ehilebo said. "We need an autonomous president. We need a president that can require some investment in government.

"It helps us to remember what occurred preceding 2015 when he likewise composed a letter to impel Nigerians to change Jonathan since he believed he was at this point not in charge of Jonathan."

The PDP clan leader compared Obasanjo's message to the 18-page letter he wrote in 2013 and addressed to then President Goodluck Jonathan, in which he told his replacement to "disregard 2015."

"We recollect that he composed these letters against then President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and he's presently griping seven and a half years after the fact that we are going from skillet to fire.

"I would propose that someone that put us in a griddle will pass on this one and permit the Nigerians to pursue a decision, rather than foisting an emotional assessment on Nigerians," he said.

Along these lines, Bamgbetan contended that any "self-regarding" official applicant from Obi's perspective wouldn't be pleased to keep crusading after Obasanjo's remarks.

"For someone to let you know that you are a needle who should have a string, you are someone who he will pull your ears, those are extremely deploring (words) for someone to set up a president.

"Quite a bit of what he said on that event, on the off chance that you take a gander at it well indeed, they don't for even a moment give Mr Peter Obi any small portion of regard. How he portrayed Mr Peter Obi, if we were to imagine being in his situation, wouldn't be something we would count on. We don't believe that was reasonable for the man," he said.

Answering the reactions, the Main Representative, LP PCC, Yunusa Tanko expressed that as a previous president, Obasanjo is prepared to be aware and evaluate "essentially everyone" he has had dealings with.

"Indeed, even a ways off, he can undoubtedly quantify you with your ability and your solidarity and what you have done throughout the long term. He took a gander at the history of Obi in Anambra State in a miniature circumstance.

"As far as security, he scored. As far as framework, he scored high. As far as responsibility, he scored high. As far as sympathy to individuals, he scored high - from his own evaluation as a previous pioneer which he utilized as a measuring stick," he said.
