Lesson learnt by a non womanizing undergraduate

This was sent to us by Ugochukwu efobi. I believe you will learn much after going through his part of experience in life.

Xseduct: I believe that he is telling you guys that womanizing is not good for youths who really want to pursue their dream.

Part 1
He said (Ugochukwu):
There is more to higher institutions than beautiful ladies and flexing. I am not trying to form righteous guy here, dont get me wrong. There is nothing wrong if you can balance your relationship life with your academics. I have been there before, yes with ladies, hanging around and more. All is vanity. I kept leadies apart for the things that mattered.

Here is a write up i did. Learn from my experience.

At first it was all a dream; a passion. Today I am in the university, working towards constructing a circuit - a 3volt DC supply circuit. I remember talking to Engr Ebenezer about practicing electrical engineering, in my compound back at home after discussing with him. I can only remember one statement he made to me that day, "do you have the passion?, that's all that matters". After few months of speaking with him I got an admission to study electrical electronic. It was one of the happiest day of my life. A major step to my dream of being an engineer.

A 3volt dc supply was the first project I took unto myself. I was taught on  rectification in electronics class. That day I learnt there were three methods of rectification:
 1. Full wave,
2. Half wave and
3. Bridge rectification

And my group leader chooses bridge method and it was the most complicated speaking from my level in electronics then, I say to myself “can I do this?” After the class I made a research into those methods and how it was applicable to a real circuit. I spoke to many people, including my classmate, kibo usman. Kibo was one of the people I thank God for bringing into my life. He had the same passion I had for electronics and electrical in general. He was receiving training from a road side electronics repairer and comes to school to teach me what he learnt. That singular act he did challenged me though I didn't convey that to him directly. I wanted not to remain a dummy and receive lecture everyday from my classmate. I only wanted to have something to say on everything, at least to make the learning fun. this moved me to another level. If you haven't seen someone who shares the same passion with you, if u haven't been challenged, your missing something big. I was challenged because he was my mate academically, despite the fact that I know he was learning from another extra source, but that didn't discourage me. Infact I wanted to be more than him. That's not envy, it's a positive jealousy. "If you posses no atom of jealousy in you, you need prayers to move ahead."

During my research, I came across many PDF files and youtube videos online, all thanks to my blackberry phone which have played an important roll in my life other than chatting. For once I saw the need to subscribe my phone; my phone have played an important roll in providing information that motivated me. Information is power and life blood. I was able to know more about a circuit, it's components - resistors, diode, transistors, capacitors, etc. Through kibo I learnt how they work in a circuit.

At a juncture I began to think, what is the drive pushing me this far? And I came up with only one option - passion. Everything is now making sense to me. The words of Engr. Ebenezer now began to make sense. Desire to be an engineer brought me to school; the passion I had for engineering kept me going. There are other things that kept me going - things like the movies I watched and the books I read.

The day I first arrived at my school for registration. I was very happy to see engineering students wearing their different laboratory and workshop coats. I am where I belong. I went to an old friend in the school hostel to drop my luggage and went to my department to get the registration requirements. In front of my department I saw a sign post, " welcome to the department of education technical". I know my ways around because I have been in the school before for a preliminary programme. I made a stop at the notice board and saw my name as the number one in the list. It was then I became conscious of the word "education" attached to the department's name. "Education? Teacher?!!!" how can that be. I headed straight to the admission and registration office. There I was disappointed to know that I got admission to study technology education. It was a big blow to me. I can't come this far to be trained to be a teacher.

To be continuing with part 2…..
