It's still not over. It's been over twenty years since child beauty pageant contestant JonBenét Ramsey was found dead in her parents' basement, and Colorado police announced plans to conduct new DNA tests.

Weirdly, it's local TV station that prompted the new investigation. Apparently, KUSA-TV in Denver discovered some flaws in earlier testing of the DNA on JonBenét's pajamas and underwear. Most shockingly, the investigation found that the DNA evidence in the case doesn't clear her family from all suspicion in her death.RECOMMENDED POSTS:

The Boulder police department wants to re-test those genetic samples using more advanced technology. Then, those results would be run through several other databases, including a FBI one withDNA profiles of more than 15.1 million known offenders and arrestees.
"We should be doing all reasonable testing that we can do, and we will be," Boulder County District Attorney Stan Garnett told the Daily Camera.Boulder police Chief Greg Testa also told the publication that the Colorado Bureau of Investigation will "look at the new technology, and see how they may help us further this investigation."
