The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has affirmed the amount of N3.070 billion for securing of lab hardware by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
Pastor of Health, Osagie Ehanire told journalists that the endorsement was made at the 38th virtual FEC meeting directed by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja on Wednesday March 17.
Osagie said purchasing of lab supplies by the wellbeing organization became neccessary for future sickness flare-ups to be placed under wraps.
He said;
"The service of wellbeing introduced a notice for the benefit of NCDC general wellbeing research facility subject matter expert and for Center for Disease Control.
"It is for six agreements for research center gear and to the all out worth of N3,070,892,988 for different hardware and supply, to reinforce crafted by NCDC in different pieces of the nation, to be more prepared for the work they do in diagnostics readiness, for COVID-19 as well as for some other illness flare-up of public interest later on."
