Over the Shiraz shrine shooting, Iran hangs two people in public

 According to the judiciary, the October attack on a shrine in the southern city of Shiraz that resulted in the deaths of more than a dozen people led Iran to hang two men in public on Saturday.


The October 26 assault on the worshipped Shiite Muslim altar of Shah Cheragh, which left 13 individuals dead and 30 injured, was asserted by the Sunni Muslim radical Islamic State (IS) bunch.



"The death penalties of two of the culprits of the Shah Cheragh psychological militant assault were done in open earlier today," the legal executive's Mizan Online site said.


According to the official news agency IRNA, the pair were hanged at dawn in Shiraz, the capital of the Fars province, on a street near the shrine. Mizan distinguished them as Mohammad Ramez Rashidi and Naeem Hashem Qatali.


Iran had previously stated that individuals from other nations, including Afghanistan, were involved in the attack; however, the nationalities of the men who were executed have not yet been made public.


The area of Iran that borders Afghanistan and Pakistan is a hotbed of turmoil, and on Saturday four furnished aggressors killed an Iranian cop in the Sunni-larger part city of Zahedan close to similar wilderness, state media said.


The motive for the attack in Sistan-Baluchistan province's capital, a hotbed of confrontations with Sunni extremists, drug smugglers, and Baluchi minority rebels, was not immediately clear.


According to Mizan, Rashidi, one of the executioners on Saturday, had admitted to working with IS on the October shrine attack.


The two were condemned to death in Spring subsequent to being sentenced for "debasement on the planet, equipped defiance and acting against public safety".


They were likewise accused of enrollment of IS and "trick against the security of the country".
