In the agrarian community of Oro Ago in the Ifelodun local government area of Kwara State, three alleged kidnappers are said to have been killed by lightning.
The incident that was linked to the efforts of a local vigilance team in the Igbomina Kwara axis to address security issues in the area occurred three days ago, according to the Nigerian Tribune.
It was assembled that the survivors of the lightning strike were associated individuals with an eight-man abduct group who apparently worked in Iwo, Osun state around fourteen days prior.
The publication was informed by a source from the Oro-Ago Development Union (ODU), a sociocultural organization of local indigenes, that members of the vigilance team in the area had briefed the organization on the development.
The state police commissioner, CP Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, said that the Command and its men had already begun an investigation into the development when he spoke about the incident.
The CP stated that thorough investigation would determine the incident's veracity.
