Mrs. Olajumoke Akere, an educator, has emphasized the significance of preparing African students for global education and competence.
The Director of JSAY Pre-varsity, Akere, stated that strengthening global competence and education is essential for students' success in a world that is rapidly changing and for societies to advance without lagging behind.
She made this statement during a press conference to announce that it had won the Outstanding Cambridge Award 2023 for achievements in information technology, biology, chemistry, and physics.
According to the educator, rising inequality and radicalism have more to lose Nigeria and Africa than they have to gain from expanding connectivity and openness.
According to Akere, children need to learn how to analyze and comprehend global and intercultural issues in order to be competitive and prepared for a new work environment.
"Cambridge Students Grant 2023 is to celebrate and perceive the outcome of high-performing students and the accomplice schools that have exemplified Correspondence Variety and Consideration (EDI) and Youngster Insurance strategies.
"Students of the twenty-first century live in a world that is interconnected, diverse, and rapidly changing. Emerging economic, digital, cultural, demographic, and environmental forces have shaped young people's lives, providing platforms that can help them learn more.
Akere stated that as a result, "in a changing world, it is imperative to expose them to global education by participating in examinations in the Cambridge curriculum."
She mentioned that the recipients of the Cambridge Award 2023 are graduates of JSAY Pre-varsity, a post-secondary institution that combines academic instruction with mentoring and counseling to assist students, some of whom are already pursuing higher education in the United States, Great Britain, and Australia.
Geeta Vasandanni, the Registrar, emphasized that the organization focuses on supporting young people's success and global relevance.
