DSS explain why Nnamdi Kanu can not be allowed to wear clothes with insignia of a lion head, saying that it is an offends to the standard operating procedures

 The Department of Security Services (DSS) on Wednesday February 16, clarified why Nnamdi Kanu, head of the banished Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who is blamed for different offenses including double crossing crime and psychological oppression, can't wear garments with a badge of a lion's head.


At resumption of preliminary at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Mr Kanu's lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, drew the preliminary adjudicator, Binta Nyako's consideration regarding the hardships experienced in attempting to get new garments to the IPOB pioneer at DSS confinement office in Abuja.





Relating how the preliminary adjudicator requested that the DSS ought to permit Kanu to put on something else from the Fendi jumpsuit he had been wearing to court, Ozekhome begged Justice Nyako to ask the DSS direction to give a clarification.


Protecting DSS' choice to keep Nnamdi Kanu a change from getting material, the security office's advice said the garments that were brought for the respondent had lion's head entangled on them and this "affront the standard working methodology".


The DSS counsel said;


"My Lord, garments that were brought for the respondent had lion's head entangled on them, and the litigant (Mr Kanu) can't wear garments with a lion's head.


"Cothes with lion's head insult the standard working methods"


It was additionally accumulated that Kanu demanded wearing the Igbo ethnic clothing which conveys a symbol of a lion's head.
